Opening a foreign currency account

Every legal person can open a foreign currency account if he makes a contract with the Bank on foreign currency sight depositing. A prerequisite for opening a foreign currency account is possessing  an open kuna account for regular operations.

Documents necessary for opening a foreign currency account:

1. Request for opening and keeping an operating account
2. Contract on maintaining and operating through a foreign currency account
3. Declaration on the real ownership
4. Declaration of signatures

Together with the documentation mentioned above, it is obligatory to present the following:

1. Declaration of Inscription in Court Register or an excerpt from register of a competent body, if the inscription is foreseen by the law,
2. Memorandum and Articles of association issued by a competent body if the resident has no obligation to be registered and has not been associated pursuant to law regulations,
3. An excerpt from the law or another regulation if the resident has been registered in accordance with the law or another regulation,
4. Notice on Classification according to the National classification of activities issued by the State Institute for Statistics,
5. Copy of a contract on the kuna account made with the Bank,
6. Filling out and signing a declaration on the real ownership ( Pursuant to the Loan on Preventing Money Laundering).
